"S.A.E. Hickson says he regards Bacon as founder of the Puritans. It would have been better if they had had more of his magnanimity! Perhaps it is reserved for the present age to launch another "Mayflower" with freedom in literary appreciation as one of the objects! Boost for Bacon."
